About Me

My name is Dani Ferreira. I have been feverously involved with the pastry arts for quite some time, so I decided to start Buttercup Cakes as a way to share my love and passion for the craft with those looking to have an exceptional cake designed for their special celebrations. 

My better half and biggest supporter, Scott, calls me "Buttercup" and about 90% of my favorite things in life start with a cup of butter, so that's how we came up with the name for our business.

In addition to having earned a degree in pastry arts from L'Academie de Cuisine, one of the top 10 culinary schools in the USA & Canada, I have trained and specialized with renowned Pastry Chefs and Cake Decorators such as Collete Peters, Ewald Notter, Mark Ramsdell, Marc Randolph, Nick Lodge, Maisie Parrish, Debbie Brown and many others.  


Much like these amazing chefs, I bring the highest level of dedication, craftsmanship and imagination to all my creations and invite you to tour my photo gallery and then consult with me regarding your next special event, wedding, birthday or holiday celebration.
